I recently had a conversation with a good friend of mine. I hadn’t seen him in a while, and as usual when we met, our dialogue was as varied as it was lively. We’ve known each other for a very long time–we attended the same high school together. We have a lot of interests in common, and we enjoy each other’s company. We don’t agree on politics or religion, or a number of other subjects, but that doesn’t matter. We’re both mature enough to agree to disagree. It doesn’t affect our friendship. Unlike a lot of people I’ve seen on the news lately. I get the impression they’re angry because they can’t get all of the things they were promised growing up. Like–everything. So they act out and throw a tantrum that would make a five year-old envious. And then they loot and burn, and shout and scream and stamp their feet demanding ridiculous changes that make no sense to any sane person.
So what does this have to do with the deep state? A lot. One of the things my friend and I do agree on, is that there is always someone pulling the strings from behind the scenes. Antifa is run by George Soros, who has admitted publicly that he wants to destroy America. That’s just a lone example. But there is definitely a “government within the government” that works behind the scenes, orchestrating events and manipulating those political parties that are in the public eye for their own ends. Why do politicians and their parties do the things they do? Why do they say the things they say? Why is the media so one-sided? Because they were told to be, that’s why.
And there are plenty of contenders. The Illuminati, the Bilderbergers, the Club of Rome, the Trilateral Commission, the Freemasons, to name just a few. Shadowy organizations that are out to rule the world. Sounds like a James Bond movie. But that may not be far from the truth. Most of these groups have espoused at one time or another, their desire to establish a one world government. A “New World Order” as George H.W. Bush declared when he was elected president in 1989. Even the United Nations has voiced its desire to bring all the nations of the world under a single government. Forget James Bond! This is Revelation Chapter 13 stuff!
If you look at the events of the past few decades, you can see a concerted effort to move the nations of the earth in that direction. There is a shadow group–call them what you may, there are plenty of titles to choose from–but this group has considerable power, influence and of course, money, that they can influence the governments of the world to bow to their agenda. You may think that I’m a bit off my rocker, that I’ve been watching too many YouTube conspiracy videos. But I’ve discovered that the older I get, the more conspiracies I see. I agree, a lot of them are a bit far-fetched, even for my taste. But there are some few that have a ring of truth to them, and those few fit the craziness we see on the evening news. And one of those conspiracies is the deep state.
I’ve listened to a number of people who have said that there is indeed a shadow group with a global agenda. All of them are qualified to speak with authority as they disclose what they know. They have to be careful not to openly expose the deep state, but they’ve presented enough evidence to make their claims credible. And this whole conspiracy appears to be layered like an onion. Some group is pulling the strings of the visible government, but then someone is pulling their strings also, and so on until we go all the way back to one individual who is pulling all of the strings. And even he doesn’t have the final say–he’s under the heel of one even more powerful than himself.
My friend believes that we’re all being controlled–manipulated by the deep state. On a personal level, I tend to disagree. I’m not a lemming that blindly follows what the mainstream media has been ordered to spoon feed the public. And yes, they’re controlled by the deep state as well. I still have a mind of my own, and the free will to choose what I can and will do. Those freedoms may be fast becoming a thing of the past, but for right now, I can still choose not to follow the madness that is being forced in our faces. I don’t care about the Obamas, the Clintons, the Trumps or the Trudeaus of the world. I can’t do anything about them except to cast my single vote and pray for them, and they will all face their own judgement when the time comes, just as I will. My concern is for my family–keeping them safe and healthy in a world gone mad, and my friends, my own small circle of influence. Like my friend from high school.
And when the stormtroopers come to kick down my door, I’ll deal with that situation when it arises. But as always, I put my faith and trust in the One who holds all the strings, and manipulates them according to His will.
Deep state or not, they don’t have the final say–He does.
